Join us for a viewing of Wolfgang Staudte's classic "rubble film," the first movie made in Germany after the end of World War II (81 minutes, black and white, in German with English subtitles). Filmed in the ruins of Berlin, this movie was among the first to engage with the challenges of achieving justice after the fall of National Socalism. With an introduction by Julia Karolle-Berg, Professor of German (JCU).
